1. What types of volunteer opportunities are available?

We have a variety of roles, including event planning, member engagement, virtual assistant, social media management, content creation, sponsorship management, and more. We’ll discuss all available opportunities during the meeting.

2. How much time is required for volunteering?

Volunteer roles can vary in time commitment, from a few hours a month to more involved positions. We will work with you to find a role that fits your schedule.

3. Do I need any special skills to volunteer?

No special skills are required, just a willingness to help and be part of the community.  As we are a small team we ask that you do accept roles that align with your skill sets. 

4. Can volunteering help me professionally?

Absolutely! Volunteering can enhance your leadership skills, expand your professional network, and provide valuable experience that can be highlighted on your resume.

5. How do I sign up to volunteer?

We will provide details during the meeting on how you can sign up for various roles. 

6. Can I volunteer remotely, or do I need to be present in person?

Many of our volunteer opportunities can be done remotely, especially since this meeting and many of our activities are virtual. However, some roles may require in-person involvement, which we will specify.

7. How will my volunteering be recognized within the group?

We recognize our volunteers through various means, this MAY include shout-outs in our meetings, features in our newsletters and social media, and special recognition at our events depending on the roles and volunteer positions. 

9. What is the process for selecting volunteers for specific roles?

We match volunteers with roles based on their interests, skills, and availability. During the meeting, we will discuss the needs and ask you to share your preferences. All postions are non-paid volunteer positions, so please keep that in mind. 

10. How will volunteering affect my membership status within the group?

Volunteering can enhance your membership experience by providing leadership opportunities, networking, and skill development. It won't affect your membership status negatively.

11. Can I choose to volunteer for a short-term project instead of a long-term commitment?

Absolutely! We have both short-term and long-term volunteer opportunities available. You can choose what best fits your schedule and interests.

12. Can volunteering help me fulfill any community service requirements?

Yes, volunteering with us can fulfill community service requirements, and we can provide documentation if needed.

13. How will volunteering help me connect with other members?

Volunteering provides numerous opportunities to work closely with other members, building stronger relationships and expanding your professional network.

14. Are there any perks or incentives for volunteers?

While these are non-paid positions, we can explore perks such as early access to events, special networking opportunities, and exclusive content.

15. What are the expectations regarding communication and availability?

We expect volunteers to communicate regularly and reliably, keeping us updated on their availability and progress. Specific expectations will be discussed during the meeting and will vary based on the volunteer position. Clear communication is a must.
